Aristotle History

Our History

Aristotle Capital Management, LLC was formed in October 2010, but its history goes back to 1997 at a predecessor firm that Aristotle Capital’s Board of Managers co-founded together. The investment process designed at the time is one Aristotle Capital continues to employ more than two decades later.

Since inception in 2010, our philosophy and process have remained consistent while we have continued to add multiple generations of talent to our 18-person investment team. Our team is a diverse group of individuals from different backgrounds, countries, ethnicities and ages with a variety of professional and personal experiences.

In January 2014, affiliate Aristotle Credit Partners, LLC was founded as a separate investment advisor to manage credit investment strategies for institutional and high net worth investors. The Aristotle Boston team came from Eagle Boston Investment Management and includes seven investment professionals. The team is based in Boston, Massachusetts and worked together for many years utilizing the same philosophy and process in the management of Small and SMID cap strategies.

In December 2016, Aristotle Capital announced the formation of affiliate Aristotle Atlantic Partners, LLC, a Sarasota-based registered investment advisor managing Large Cap Growth, Core Equity and Focus Growth strategies identifying companies that we believe are poised to benefit from secular themes, product cycles or industry trends. Aristotle Atlantic is the latest addition to the Aristotle family of privately owned investment management firms. The Aristotle Atlantic team was formerly at Deutsche Asset Management and consists of five investment professionals.

In January 2023, Aristotle Capital established Aristotle Investment Services, LLC, an independent registered investment advisor. Aristotle Investment Services serves as an advisor and administrator to the Aristotle Funds under Aristotle Funds Series Trust.
