Richard Schweitzer, CFA

Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer

Richard Schweitzer is Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Aristotle Capital. He is a member of the Board of Managers and began in the investment industry in 1987.

Richard began his career with Price Waterhouse, then left public accounting to use his tax and accounting expertise to eventually head Bank of America’s Mortgage and Asset Securities Services Group. In 1992, Richard joined the Pilgrim Group and its successor firm, Astra Management Company, where he successfully managed the liquidation of large pools of complex mortgage-backed securities. Richard also served in various senior capacities at predecessor asset management firms.

Richard earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from California State University, Northridge, and his MBA from the University of Southern California. He is a CFA® charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in the State of California. In addition to being a long and loyal philanthropic supporter of his undergraduate alma mater, Richard also serves as the Chair of the Nazarian School of Business and Economics Advisory Board and serves on the Finance Committee and the Board of the California State University Northridge Foundation.
