James P. Birdwell, Jr.
Portfolio Manager

Jim Birdwell is a member of the Aristotle portfolio management team. Previously, Jim was an analyst and portfolio manager with Reed Conner and Birdwell, LLC. Previously, he served in the institutional department at Dean Witter Reynolds and was a research analyst at Farmer’s Insurance Group.

Jim earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley, and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California.

Jim serves on the Board of Saint John’s Health Center where he is co-chairman of the Investment Committee. He served two six year terms on The Board of Director of The Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, CA where he was Treasurer and twice Chairman of the Board. In addition, he is also a past board member of The Children’s Hospital Research Institute, Hollenbeck Palms, and The Children’s Bureau of Los Angeles. He currently serves on the boards of Fullerton Community Bank, The Jackmar Companies (food service and restaurants) and Bulley & Andrews, LLC (construction).

Donn B. Conner, CFA
Portfolio Manager

Donn Conner is a member of the Aristotle portfolio management team. Previously, Donn was the president, a portfolio manager, and an analyst at Reed Conner and Birdwell, LLC. Previously, he served as a portfolio manager and research analyst at Security Pacific Bank and an account executive at Dean Witter Reynolds.

Donn received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Donn is currently on the board of the Westside Family YMCA where he is a former chairman and treasurer and was honored for his long-term service in October 2003. He also serves on the board of a privately held company and is a member of the Westwood Village Rotary Club and the CFA Institute. Donn was formerly a president and board member of Hathaway Children’s Services and a board member of the Emphysema Foundation, the American Red Cross and the Museum of Natural History.

James C. Reed, CFA
Portfolio Manager

Jim Reed is a member of the Aristotle portfolio management team. Prior to this, Jim was an analyst and portfolio manager with Reed Conner and Birdwell, LLC. Previously, he was a portfolio manager and research analyst at Clifford Associates and served in the U.S. Air Force as a commissioned officer.

Jim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Lehigh University, and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California. Jim is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Mr. Reed served as President of the Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts, Inc.
