Mark Yancey
Managing Director, Director of Client Service & Marketing

Mark Yancey leads the client service, marketing and sales effort at Aristotle. Mark joined the firm in 2011 with a deep and diversified background in several key industry areas, having spent eight years with Metropolitan West Capital Management, LLC (MetWest Capital) as Senior Vice President of sales, marketing and client service. Following his career at MetWest Capital, Mark was Co-Founder of Hillcrest Asset Management where he served as Managing Partner of sales, marketing and client service. Mark served as Senior Managing Director of Global Distribution at Reed, Conner and Birdwell, LLC (RCB) which merged with Aristotle in June 2011. Prior to his tenure at MetWest Capital, Mark spent 14 years serving in a variety of sales, marketing and client service positions for Aetna, Mass Mutual Life Insurance Company, Palley-Needelman Asset Management, Inc. and Wells Capital Management.

Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from the University of Oklahoma.

 
Eric Smith, CFA
Managing Director

Eric Smith is a Managing Director at Aristotle. Eric brings more than 36 years of investment experience to Aristotle. Prior to joining Aristotle, he served as Portfolio/Relationship Manager and Director of Client Services at Metropolitan West Capital Management, LLC for 11 years. Eric’s prior investment-related experience includes serving as Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Bank of America Capital Management while managing the Private Bank’s Investment Unit in the Southern Region of California; Vice President and Portfolio Manager at The Chase Manhattan Private Bank; and Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Van Deventer & Hoch, Investment Counsel.

Eric earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and his MBA from California State University, Long Beach. He is a CFA® charterholder. Eric is also a member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles and a founding member of the CFA Society Orange County.

 
Catalina Llinás, CFA
Managing Director

Catalina Llinás is a Managing Director at Aristotle. Prior to joining Aristotle, she spent eight years at Metropolitan West Capital Management, LLC most recently as a Senior Vice President, Portfolio Relationship Manager. In her role, Catalina was the primary liaison between the investment team and some of the firm’s largest institutional clients. Catalina has participated in numerous investment presentations and panels within the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. She also previously worked in an investment-related capacity at Citibank España, in Madrid, Spain.

Catalina earned her undergraduate degree in Economics from Universidad Europea de Madrid and her MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. She is a CFA® charterholder. Catalina grew up in Spain and Colombia and has also lived in Switzerland and France. She is fluent in Spanish and conversant in French and Italian.
